Pimples are a common problem among youngsters, but according to new research people can face this problem in adolescence also. In comparison to males pimples trouble the females more than the males. Regarding this a research was made in Alabama University by Birmingham School of Medicine on males and females who were of 20 years or more. In this relation Chief of University Julie C Harper made a group for long duration and collected detailed information on males and females on pimples and came to the conclusion that this problem is more among males than females. Among most of the cases , this problem is more acute during the menstrual cycle. Thus Harper came to the conclusion that oily skin, irregularity in diet, disorder in stomach and blood, problems related to skin, various allergies, besides this hormonal changes in women during menstrual cycle are the main reasons for pimples among women. British Journal of Dermatology published in one of its Journal that smoking can cause acne and blackheads among women.
