Today, elastic belt cards has become a fashion. It is used more in readymade clothes of kids like frocks, shirts, shorts, underwear's etc Many people are ignorant towards the dangerous effects of these elastic belts on the body.
What is elastic?
Elastic is a stretchy material or strips or threads of rubber or similar stretchable material, or fabric or tape with a stretchy material woven into it so that it can fit tightly round something. It returns quickly to its original shape and size after being stretched.
Because of this specialty only elastic belts are worn. They put pressure on the inner parts of the body like lever, intestine, kidney etc which stops the supply of blood on the muscles of stomach. As a result there are many disease of the stomach like loose motions, constipation, vomiting, gastric problems etc. and there is risk of damage to kidney, lever and intestine which has no treatment and if there is treatment than it is very costly.
Underwear's of elastic belts among children are often raised up because of which simple activities of ribs is effected and there is risk of damage to lungs also which can cause diseases like bronchitis, pneumonia, tuberculosis etc..
